Ms. Doreen Abuti Okoyana

Ms. Doreen Abuti Okoyana has worked as an Economist in the State Department for Tourism having joined the Civil Service in the year 2021 under the State Department for Economic Planning.

Previously, she successfully served as an Educationist at Al-Maktoum Foundation (Al Maktoum Girls Secondary Secondary) from 2011 to 2020 where she rose from a classroom teacher to Director of studies at the institution.

Currently, she heads the Programmes Directorate mandated to provide leadership in policy development, review and implementation of the Boards’ strategic plan; provide technical and support in policy analysis and development in the Fund; Coordinating the projects application, appraisals, evaluations and prioritization of projects; and coordinating the Monitoring and Evaluation of funded projects.

Ms. Doreen holds a Bachelor degree in applied statistics with Computing from Moi University as well as a Bachelor degree in Education (Physics and Mathematics) from Mount Kenya University.
